Keyboard Jim

Jim is a regular at our Friday night sequence dance. Due to his Irish ancestry he is a dab hand at the Irish joke.

However, his main claim to fame is his skill on the keyboard. We have 3 CDs of his music which sounds like a full orchestra is playing. His real heroism is that he has Parkinson's disease. To some extent his ability to record a piece many times until he is satisfied is a real plus.

The real purpose of our visit to Jim's was admire a wonderful machine. Jim recently found out that I had a model railway. He has visited it. However, he had something to show me. It was a model of a steam engine made from various car parts. He had acquired from the neighbour who made it and had cleaned it up and was quite proud of it.

Part of our visit was to admire the garden that Jim and Janette are justly proud of.

They were fascinating and generous hosts and it was difficult to tear ourselves away.
